Dear Mr. Donald.

First of all i must tell you that, with every purchase of SLT prepaid dial up connections you get a instruction manual. If you have read it this may not been a problem at all. Anyway here is the soloution.

With the info you have provided, I assume you have used, "netguest" for user name, and "guest" for password. Using these you can log on to the www.sltnet.lk or www.slt.lk only. To use this dial-up connection you must first create an account. If you already have an account with SLT proceed to step 2.

Step 1

using "netguest" and "guest" log in to www.sltnet.lk
click "prepaid connections" link at the bottom of the page.
on the next screen click "New Users: Click Here to Register"
proceed with the instructions you get on the screen.

Step 2

go to www.sltnet.lk and click prepaid connections at the bottom of the page.
Type in your user name and password in the box provided.
next you will log in to your SLT account.
There you will get an option to add your purchased credits to your account.
(scratch the card and type in serial number and pin number)

Disconnect the dial up connection.

Now you may log back in the dial up connection using your account details with SLT.
(not using "netguest" and "guest")

when you sign in to your SLT dial up connection use the following after the user name.

eg: username@pre.sltnet

Highlighted part is really important, You cannot create a connection with SLT unless you use that part.

I think this information will help you. Good luck with your dial up connection.
